# Coverage and status

National and regional layers come from the BOE and regional resolutions; historical gaps are declared too. For local data we distinguish records with at least one date, named records, generic-only records and records without published local data.

Municipalities do not carry equal weight: 52.4% of them have a named local holiday, yet 90% of the population lives in one. 97.6% of residents have at least one local date on record. Population from the INE municipal register at 1 January 2025.
