API Terms

Terms of use for the free festivos.io services: the open dataset, every query API endpoint and the MCP server. They complement the Legal notice and the Privacy policy.

1. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern access to and use of the API and other festivos.io services, provided by the Owner (Danke Global SL, see Legal notice). By using the API, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Open data and free service

The data is published under CC BY 4.0 (free to use, including commercially, with attribution) and the code under the MIT license. These terms do not restrict that right: you may download and self-host the dataset. Every query endpoint is also provided free of charge and without a key, without changing the rights granted by the licence.

3. Free access and technical limits

The static dataset, the MCP server and every query endpoint —including advanceddias-habiles operations and POST /v1/batch— are free, with no sign-up or key. The per-IP limit exists only to protect availability and cost from abuse; it does not unlock features or create access tiers.

4. Acceptable use

You must not: (a) generate abusive automated load or circumvent usage limits; (b) attempt to breach the security, availability or integrity of the service; (c) present the data as an official source or in a way that misleads about its origin; (d) use the service for unlawful purposes. The Owner may limit access in the event of misuse.

5. Availability

The free service is provided on a best-effort basis, with no contractual SLA or availability commitment. Live status and indicative targets are on Status.

6. No warranty

Information is provided "as is", without warranty of accuracy, completeness or continuous availability, and does not replace the official sources. Verify the sourcelinked on each record before legal, employment or tax decisions.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Owner is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or decisions made without checking the official source. Nothing in these terms excludes liabilities that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Personal data

The API requires no account and processes no personal data in its queries. Technical data and messages sent by email are covered by the Privacy policy. For infrastructure providers, also see the DPA.

9. Changes to the terms

The Owner may update these terms; the version in force is the one published on this page, with its date. Continued use after a change implies acceptance.

10. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals determined by the applicable rules.
